Review by Library Journal Review

Traditional Danish Christmas decorations are featured in this delightful new crochet book by sisters who are knit and crochet designers and founders of Krea Deluxe, a yarn company. Thirteen patterns are included for decorations, gifts, and ornaments, such as a drum, elves, candy canes, woven hearts, Kringle, and wreaths. All designs are in one or more of the traditional Danish holiday colors of red, green, gold, and white, with an occasional pop of glittering silver. The history section of each pattern gives background on the special place each item holds in the Danish Christmas traditions. Each is given a Christmas tree skill rating (from one tree to three), and the written instructions for some patterns are augmented by charts, links, and video instructions. The patterns are easy to follow and produce beautiful results. VERDICT A must-have for any library's crochet collection. Those experienced with crochet techniques and those new to the craft will likely find much to love. Appealing and artful photographs of the designs will have crafters itching to pick up their hooks.--Lynnanne Pearson
