Gr. 2-5. Emberley's step-by-step approach to drawing appeals because it presents even the most awkward doodlers with a chance to be successful in their creations. This latest drawing book does what most of Emberley's other drawing books do-it shows readers how to create objects and figures by building up a series of simple lines and squiggles into a more complicated and complete whole. The color red suggests most of the subjects, among them a U.S. flag, a fire engine, and assorted red-and-green Christmas items. Directions for the flag show would-be artists how to draft an accurate field of stars. Add this where Emberley's other drawing books are ready movers. DMW. 741.2'6 Drawing-Technique [CIP] 87-3091
