Review by Kirkus Book Review

Like Emberley's Big Green Drawing Book (p. 129, J-37), this starts with a basic shape--a potato in the previous book, here a carrot that can become a clown, mouse, bird, bee, or rocket--but then settles into a series of step-by-step drawings. Most of these are geared to Halloween, with spooks, skulls, dancing skeletons, black cats, a spooky house, and witches of every description; but Emberley also throws in a lobster and a lobster boat, a ship, and some mechanical space creatures. Like the green book, it's second-class Emberley, but good for some doodling diversion--and this one can help to satisfy some of that Halloween fever. Copyright ©Kirkus Reviews, used with permission.
