Antiques Roadshow: Shakespeare Special
Streaming video - 2012
Fiona Bruce presents a special edition of Antiques Roadshow, as the team head off to Stratford-upon-Avon in search of more family treasures at nearby Charlecote Park. With Shakespeare's home so close by, they make a particular search for objects from the days of Elizabethan England. Objects from the era under scrutiny include a handsome dining table; a portrait of the First Earl of Leicester, Robert Dudley, an important patron for theatre in the court of Elizabeth I; and a spooky jewel which claims to have magical powers.
