Academy Award winners Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn star as a husband-and-wife team of attorneys representing opposite sides of a case in this classic comedy directed by George Cukor. To attorney Adam Bonner (Tracy), it's an open-and-shut case when a woman is arrested for attempting to kill her husband after she discovers him with his mistress. But Adam's wife, Amanda Bonner (Hepburn), believes that it would be a case of justifiable attempted homicide if the husband had discovered his wife in an affair… And so begins one of the wittiest courtroom battle of the sexes ever recorded on film.
