"Harry" Haristeen and Mrs. Murphy, last seen in Feline Fatale (2024), are back, and this time, there are two mysteries to solve. Planning a school reunion is taking up much of Harry's time, but she looks forward to dedicating the restored buildings and honoring the students who were affected by segregation. At the same time, the town has been offered a considerable sum of money for acres of land near the school, but many residents are against selling. Harry and friends are looking for something to stop the sale when they discover an abandoned car sunk in the creek on the property--with a body in the driver's seat. Soon another murder occurs, and Harry thinks they may be connected. Can the crimes be solved before the big reunion? The return of Harry and her animal companions will delight fans of the series, but even newcomers to Mrs. Murphy mysteries can still enjoy the story. Another winner in Brown's not-to-be-missed series.
