This colorful, rhyming adventure encourages little ones to recognize shapes and find hidden ones scattered throughout vivid scenes of children playing. Despres' bouncy text keeps the audience engaged, while Watanabe's lively illustrations, composed of bright colors and patterns, expertly showcase the many uses shapes have in our everyday lives, especially for kids playing together at daycare. The closing spread encourages readers to match the 10 shapes featured in the book to their names and places within the pages. Both educational and entertaining, this offers a lesson on shapes we see every day with a focus on joy and play.

PreS-K--Dive into a world of shapes with this engaging seek-and-find board book. Rhyming pages tell the story of a daycare class as they play throughout the day, introducing shapes through child-friendly, bright images. "We stack squares to make a town. Let's build it high, then knock it down!" Alongside common shapes, additional ones like an arc, star, moon, and heart are presented. VERDICT This is a great addition to the concept shelves.
