Baby-Toddler--Construction trucks share their gratitude and appreciation for what they do and what others do for them. Each truck is depicted carrying out its specific duty; for instance, the dump truck enjoys having a full load as he drives down the way and is thankful he can enjoy the view of the pumpkin patch. The gravel truck is grateful that the crew is able to provide the supplies for him to work and produce, and the Skid Steer is grateful to do her part of hanging a scarecrow with her skilled grapple hook. Excavator looks on at his fellow truckers and is grateful for what each and every one of them brings to complete the work on the barn and in the fields. Young readers will enjoy the autumn colors, the movable pop-up flaps, and the rhyming, especially in a read-aloud setting. Caregivers can point to how important gratitude and acknowledging others' thoughtfulness is throughout the book. This book encourages and shows the importance of working as a team to get a job done. VERDICT A good read at any time, but even better during the Thanksgiving season.--Annmarie Braithwaite
