Streaming video - 1939

Set in 15th-century Paris, this dramatic adaptation of Victor Hugo’s classic novel follows Quasimodo (Charles Laughton), the disfigured but gentle bell-ringer of Notre Dame Cathedral. Living in the shadows, Quasimodo is captivated by the beautiful and kind-hearted gypsy Esmeralda (Maureen O’Hara), who shows him compassion for the first time. When Esmeralda is falsely accused of murder, Quasimodo risks everything to protect her, confronting the cruelty and prejudice of society.
