In a brand-new Dixon universe, following the success of her Ice Barbarian series, Candra is a spoiled princess forced to step in for her recently deceased sister and participate in a ritual their gods demand. This entails her being locked up in a remote tower with Nemeth, an enemy prince and formidable warrior. If she refuses, the gods will punish Candra's kingdom, losing them the war and throwing them into famine. But being locked in a dark tower for seven years with a strange man with wings, fangs, and claws can lead to some interesting new situations that the princess is not prepared for, especially when staying at the tower becomes a matter of life and death. Fans of Dixon in particular and fantasy romance in general will delight in this dramatic world and her masterful use of the enemies-to-lovers trope as they get swept up in the political intrigue and high stakes of two countries at war.
