At the Valletta International Baroque Festival, Ensemble Correspondances plays festive motets of the seventeenth century. He plays the Te Deum composed by Marc-Antoine Charpentier, played for the first time in 1699. It is one of the most played classical works of music. The prelude, joyful and popular, is used in particular as the Eurovision anthem. The Te Deum will be preceded by motets by Henry du Mont organist and composer of Flemish Baroque music, which inspired Lully, who was born in 1610 and died in 1684. more
