When a 15-year-old honors student Jodi Hayward (Shawnee Smith)--charged with being in a car with an underage driver--comes before a vindictive judge who abuses his power for personal satisfaction, she is sentenced to spend a night in adult jail in this story based on true events.While Jodi's parents report her missing and search frantically to find their daughter, she is locked up with hardened criminals for a nightmarish night that ends with her rape. But even after her ordeal, Jodi faces her judge one more time--to convince everyone of his misdeeds ... and that she is guilty only of the Crime of Innocence.
