Watercolor has had a huge impact on my life and mental health. Some may choose meditation or yoga, but for me, the uncomplicated and freeing nature of abstract watercolor is a form of mindfulness. It allows me to switch off, unplug from the digital world, and unwind from the day-to-day pressures we all face. In this book, you'll discover the best painting materials that I've found through  much  research, and even more trial and error. With a modest set of paints, a jam jar of water, a few brushes, and some paper, you will be all set to embark on your watercolor journey. There are simple techniques to help you create shapes and patterns, and step-by-step projects that let the paint lead the way. Discover new color palettes, mark-making and masking tricks as you create your art. By writing this book, my aim is to share the simple skills required to create watercolor art fit to grace the finest of walls! Not only will it arm you with the skills to help you create, but also (hopefully!) the encouragement and inspiration to find your own style. Happy painting!
