The book contains 200 unfussy recipes that use fresh ingredients, interesting spices, and unique but simple cooking methods. Want a new spin on salad? Shave the vegetables for a denser flavor profile. Tired of the same old pizza? Cook it upside down for crispier toppings and crust. Looking for a richer and more savory salad dressing? Brown walnuts in butter for the vinaigrette. The Milk Street crew has worked hard to make these recipes highly readable and easy to follow. Each short introduction is followed by a list of ingredients, with substitutions and options clearly marked. The mouthwatering photos will let home cooks know exactly what each finished recipe should look like; readers will enjoy every page.
