Phoebe Chapman lives a lonely life in the UK until a visit with her sister in L.A. shakes things up. She is quickly swept up in the city's magic, courtesy of her two informal tour guides, Bel and Ren. Bel is her sister's bubbly personal trainer, and Ren is the hunky, but humble, guy next door. She becomes fast friends with Bel and is immediately drawn to Ren. When Bel reveals that she has a crush on Ren, Phoebe suppresses her own interest and becomes determined to play matchmaker. Despite her persistent feelings, she helps Bel write a love letter and then guides Bel through their first date. Meanwhile, Phoebe meets a mysterious and reclusive former Hollywood starlet who lives down the road, and an unlikely friendship blossoms. Phoebe's new friendships help her realize that she wants more than the life she's been living, and that she can take control of her own narrative. This feel-good rom-com from the author of the I Heart series is a lighthearted and hilarious read, perfect for fans of Ava Wilder and Sophie Cousens.

Bel has a crush on Ren that renders her incapable of speech whenever he's around, so Phoebe offers to play matchmaker by writing love letters to Ren and signing them from Bel. As this ruse goes on, however, Phoebe realizes with horror that she's falling for Ren herself.
