Toddler-PreS--"Busy, Buzzing, Flitting, Flying, Singing, Stinging, Squirmy-wormy Bugs!" take center stage in a cheerful "first" science book that features fairly representative illustrations of bugs but still makes them friendly. The interactions help toddlers remember features of bug life and how to stay safe around bugs, even though not all of them have the capacity to hurt as defense mechanisms. VERDICT Even the scene of a dragonfly chomping on a small fly will not put young bug lovers off lunch. This is a great way to keep their curiosity growing.
