Review by Booklist Review
In this new board book addition to the world of Raúl the Third's ¡Vamos! books, readers can join Coco Rocho and other familiar friends as they gather for a big party in his home. Complete with cake, balloons, music, and more, the story, told in both English and Spanish, introduces little ones to new vocabulary through this fun fiesta. The repeated use of the possessive pronouns "my" and "your" helps to create simple and straightforward sentences that will make it less challenging for little learners to use them in a real-world setting. Raúl the Third uses his recognizable art style full of detail and color to playfully illustrate items and actions to help engage readers. My Party, Mi Fiesta is a superb bilingual book to read to children who are starting to learn Spanish.

Baby-Toddler--In this installment of the series, Coco Rocho welcomes readers and lets them know that this fiesta is as much for them as it is for him. Each spread shares a part of Coco Rocho's party, such as his friends, and illustrates some of the fun activities that take place at parties--playing games, listening to music, and, of course, hitting a piñata! The energetic, colorful illustrations--a mixture of soft shades and dynamic colors--are sure to grab the attention of little ones, and the bilingual text is easy to spot and will introduce kids to "my/mi" and "your/tu" phrases. Children will enjoy seeing familiar characters throughout, and fans of Raúl the Third will love being able to take another peek into the world of ¡Vamos! VERDICT A fantastic addition to bilingual board book collections.--Selenia Paz
