A charming and clever sitcom, following the efforts of Margaret - a timid but radical Edwardian matron - as she brings the fight for women's suffrage to her small village of Banbury. Margaret is eager to embrace the modern world of 1910, and keen to convert the village's women to campaign for votes for women. These include formidable socialite Helen, her outrageous sexually-charged elderly mother Myrtle, teenage rebel Emily, and buck-toothed simpleton Gwen. Together they make up a defiantly political, but hilariously ineffectual mob!
