Jack Dee: Sent to Siberia
Streaming video - 2002
Comedian Jack Dee has drawn the short straw. He's going on a two-week journey to Siberia, one of the most remote and inhospitable places on the planet. The trip starts with a nine-and-a-half-hour plane journey from Moscow into Yakutsk and then a two-and-half-hour helicopter ride up into the mountains of Lepikha. Jack will stay for two nights in a desolate reindeer herder village where he will learn basic survival skills and will be introduced to the techniques of the herders, whose lifestyle has remained unchanged for hundreds of years.
