Montreal chef and cookbook author Lloyd Rosa shares Jamaican ackee and fried dumplings, which can be eaten for breakfast or lunch, and Stockholm recipe developer Seiran Sinjari provides a recipe for Kurdish aprax/dolma, a dish of tangy stuffed vegetables with herbed aromatic rice. Quick and easy weeknight fare includes avocado pesto pasta with a boost of nutritional yeast, and pasta with creamy cashew miso sauce. Alcohol-infused sides such as whiskey-glazed brussels sprouts and leeks are "intended for both vegetable lovers and those trying to be." Much in the style of her namesake blog, this is the latest edition from lifestyle brand founder Hansen (Vegan Reset). Organized in a fun, bright package, this title delivers a clearinghouse of vegan recipes collected from chefs and multiple collaborators. Hansen, a self-admittedly terrible eater before becoming vegan, offers an encouraging tone around veganism and cooking, and perhaps a realistic outlook. Recipes aren't always wholesome and rely on store-bought products but are geared toward the transitioning meat-eater rather than the health-always-conscience. Recipes include prep/cook times, notes for substitutions, and even a featured jam. Bonus content includes the completed recipe coordinated playlist, further reads, and QR codes for additional content. Fans of the blog will find new recipes and enjoy the upbeat vibes throughout. New vegans will appreciate the comfort food twists and practical preparations. Perfect for patrons who are vegan-curious, looking for meatless Monday crowd-pleasers, or comfort food vegan-style.
