Review by School Library Journal Review
K-Gr 2--This series of early readers includes topics ranging from nature walks and pet care to helping others and practicing self-care. Featuring repetitive sentence structures and sight words, the books are designed for new and developing readers. Activities and narratives are described in short, simple sentences to help build early literacy skills. Colorful illustrations support each action, making it easy for new readers to identify what is happening. Each title ends with a question encouraging readers to think more about what they have read; for instance, "Can you think of a time you helped a friend?" A segment titled "Did You See It?" shows three images from the text, and an index of these and other words used in the story rounds out the back matter. VERDICT Recommended for school and public libraries.--Savannah Kitchens
