Review by School Library Journal Review

Baby-Toddler--This board book combines several winning elements into an irresistible package: high-quality and full-color photography, baby animals, and simple rhymes that are sure to delight viewers young and old. Some photographs include a baby animal with a parent; others are focused on babies only. A variety of species are represented, including some of the most popular: otters, sloths, lions, whales, bears, and gorillas. There's plenty of humor in the animal kingdom, from a fawn peeping from between an adult's legs to an adult penguin regurgitating food directly into a penguin chick's mouth ("babies dining"). VERDICT These photographs of baby animals in nature have the charm, warmth, and comfort of Anne Gutman and Georg Hallensleben's Mommy Hugs and Daddy Kisses and will have busy human toddlers slowing down for another read. Highly recommended.--Jenny Arch
