Review by Library Journal Review

Full-color photographs and illustrations are spread throughout this guide to upcycled wardrobe embroidery by fiber artist Stratkotter, the creative mind behind the emboridery shop Florals and Floss. Readers are encouraged to grab the outfits that need repair or no longer excite them and embellish them enough to make them seem new again. Intricately detailed sections are broken down into what tools are needed, how to care for the garments, how to embroider them, and much more. Sustainability is a focus for Stratkotter: she addresses specific sustainable materials available to users based on their budget or preference. This book is designed to be used and referenced while working through the projects; the patterns are modern and appropriate for those who are into cottagecore aesthetics. The first half of the book is dedicated to the basics of embroidery, which is perfect for beginners, but more advanced crafters may not find it helpful. VERDICT A must for beginners and libraries with patrons interested in sustainable crafts.--Elizabeth Chandler
