Teagan Frost's fourth outing (after Eye of the Sh*tstorm, 2021) may be the most intense yet. After evading her super-powered siblings in a battle to save the homeless of L. A., Teagan is recovering while waiting for her friend Annie to wake from a coma. She's also coming down from the meth she took to supercharge her psychokinesis (PK), which lets her move objects with her mind. But she doesn't have time to lick her wounds. After a quick stint in jail, she's assigned to guard a prominent senator at a conference. The event goes sideways fast when a deadly group of religious assassins crashes the party, and Teagan realizes her PK has evaporated. Now she must escape the conference hotel while Annie, out of her coma, goes after Teagan's sinister siblings. Ford cranks up the volume in this entry, pushing Teagan to the limits of her abilities. China Shop, Teagan's black-ops team, is split apart, but each of its members is working to support her, amping up the action. Read the series in order (starting with The Girl Who Could Move Sh*t with Her Mind, 2019) for the complete experience.

Ford's rip-roaring fourth Frost Files paranormal thriller splits up psychokinetic government operative Teagan Frost and her team, forcing all to face dangerous foes at a steep disadvantage. Following the events of Eye of the Sh*t Storm, the China Shop team is in pieces. Annie's in a coma after being struck by lightning and Teagan is diligently camped at her hospital bed--until an unexpected visit violently reunites her with the siblings she'd assumed were dead. In the ensuing sibling battle, Teagan loses her psychokinetic powers--but before she can tell her boss of this development, she's sent to protect a senator at an important conference. Of course, the event is taken over by gunmen, leaving a depowered Teagan desperate to save the day. Meanwhile, Annie awakens still thinking she needs to save Teagan from her siblings. There's never a dull moment as Teagan and friends fly by the seat of their pants to save lives. The result will keep readers laughing and well entertained. Agent: Ed Wilson, Johnson & Alcock. (May)
