Mr. Lemoncello is at it again, this time with an escape-room-style TV game show, and the kids from Alexandriaville return to compete. Kyle and his friends enter the competition to break out of the Lemoncello library, now using the Fictionasium, a 3-D augmented reality game that makes stories come to life. The players must play through different genres in order to escape, and of course Charles Chiltington is determined to win. As Kyle and his team play through the game, they begin to understand their nemesis, and they learn that books make the best doors, windows, and mirrors. Like the other Lemoncello books, this novel is fast-paced and full of action as well as many book titles for readers to discover. The idea of fiction opening up worlds may not be new, but it's a good reminder to children that reading can expand their horizons and help them understand others. Ultimately, this is another fun-filled Lemoncello adventure, sure to be popular with fans of the series.--Sarah Bean Thompson Copyright 2010 Booklist
