Review by Booklist Review

Introducing numbers from 1 to 10, this handsome board book encourages children to count the well-defined objects on each tabbed right-hand page. The answers appear on the verso pages in large, rough-textured numerals. An arrow indicates the direction of the first stroke used when writing each number. There's plenty of learning potential here, but young children will be content to turn the colorful pages and point to the stylized pictures of cats, cars, trees, and the like. Nicely illustrated, this tall, distinctive board book is a useful resource for parents and teachers working with children on numbers. Montessori Letter Work is also available.--Phelan, Carolyn Copyright 2010 Booklist
