In the Shadow of the Hill

Streaming video - 2016

The residents of Rio de Janeiro's largest slum seek justice for a local man they believe has been murdered by the police. In the face of brutal oppression, together they start a protest movement that will change the course of Brazilian history. This project is heavily accoladed, winning best film at the Sydney Film Festival, a Director’s Guild Award and two Australian Academy Awards. Originally released in 2016, the film has fresh interest right now, particularly because it is about a black man murdered by police, it's currently more timely than ever.
