An advance care plan (ACP) is a legal document that you create to ensure that your wishes for your end of life are made clear and adhered to. An ACP is a good document to have whether you are sick or well. It becomes a crucial document once you are no longer able to express your wishes. In these 'Speaking from experience' video clips, people discuss their experiences of creating an Advance Care Plan, and the benefits of having one in place. They were produced in partnership with Alfred Health. A stroke is a brain attack, which can affect thinking, movement, speech and/or senses, and is caused by blockage or rupture of a blood vessel within or surrounding the brain. Stroke is a medical emergency ­ getting to a hospital quickly is ...vital for a good outcome. A stroke can occur at any age, even in babies and infants. These 'Speaking from experience' video clips offer first-hand accounts from people who experienced stroke prior to the age of 50. They discuss the impact it has had on their lives and the ways in which they manage its effects.
