Review by Library Journal Review

Matt and Nick Jackson, known professionally as "The Young Bucks," are brothers who, at a young age, had a passion for professional wrestling. They grew up in Southern California in a lower-class but God-fearing, supportive family that allowed them, within limits, to explore and develop this passion. This story, written in a personal, narrative style by both brothers in alternating chapters, chronicles their development from playing, as children, in homemade, makeshift wrestling rings located behind local buildings and houses, to their successes in the world of professional wrestling and life outside of the ring. Their relentless work and energy, and their savvy business decision-making and marketing skills, led them to be noticed by Tony Kahn, who, in 2019, involved them heavily in founding All Elite Wrestling (AEW), an organization that competes directly with World Wrestling Entertainment. Nick and Matt currently serve as AEW executive vice presidents. VERDICT Those not familiar with professional wrestling may initially get lost in a sea of names, places, and events that often seem to blur together. However, this intriguing, personal, family-centered telling of the Jacksons' story will draw in and inspire many readers. Recommended for public libraries, and some academic business collections.--Steve Dixon, State Univ. of New York, Delhi
