Review by Booklist Review

Look on Pinterest for about five minutes and you'll see that mason jars are no longer just for canning or making jellies and jams. Instead, they've discovered new life as drinking glasses, candle holders, and even lamps. In this book, the crafting craze has trickled down to children with fun and easy crafts suitable for all ages. Following a brief history of the mason jar, including photos of different sizes of the jars, along with their traditional uses, 25 crafts are broken up into themes, such as summer fun, holidays, gifts, and even science experiments. Each craft is introduced with a full-page, full-color photograph of the finished work and a few sentences of what the craft is. Supplies for the most part are cost-effective and easy to locate, save for a few. Instructions are written out with accessible, easy-to-read vocabulary and include plenty of step-by-step photos. All in all, this is a great buy for the makers of all stripes, even beginners just getting their crafting feet wet.--Linsenmeyer, Erin Copyright 2015 Booklist
