Review by Publisher's Weekly Review

This addition to the Pop Classics series stages the second installment in the 1990s Home Alone franchise. As was the case with its predecessor, the story of a trouble-prone child's unexpected Christmas alone, and his ability to thwart the nefarious plans of two bumbling thieves, lends itself effectively to the picture book format. Kevin--loyally rendered with a knit cap, backpack, and pictured with a wide-mouthed scream of alarm upon being separated from his family and arriving in New York City--is easy to root for, while other characters carry a strong resemblance to those in the film. A lively readaloud that may be best preceded by a viewing of the film. Ages 4--8. (Oct.)
