Review by Library Journal Review

As a survivor of childhood physical and emotional abuse and an abusive marriage, Morgan aims to help other victims through the process of healing, from understanding the nature of abuse to developing self-respect and forming healthy relationships. The author uses stories, inspirational quotes, and exercises to encourage readers to focus on their individual experiences to grow into the person they were meant to be. Affirmations and breathing techniques complement new thoughts and actions and demonstrate how to implement these behaviors with healthy communication. VERDICT This exemplary guide will be valuable for not only survivors of abuse but all women who wish to develop a stronger sense of self-worth.
