Review by Library Journal Review

The stormy relationship between a handyman-cum-novelist and his crazy girlfriend is far better developed in the hour-longer director's cut than the acclaimed stateside theatrical release. The best title in The Jean-Jacques Beineix Collection (which includes the separately available Moon in the Gutter, Mortal Transfer, Roselyne and the Lions, Locked-In Syndrome, IP5, and Diva), Betty Blue and Diva are the only essential titles in Beineix's decidedly mixed oeuvre, where style tends to trump substance.
