Review by Booklist Review

Having saved the human population of tropical Bunny Island from being transformed into rabbits in the opener (Mutant Bunny Island, 2017), young Perry is delighted to be invited back as a featured panelist for the upcoming Carrot Con. Hardly has he arrived, though, than a new threat literally rears up a huge and rapidly growing lagomorph with a bad habit of uprooting trees and causing like mayhem. Bolstered by the example of Admiral Uli, squid hero of his beloved Ocean Blasterzoids comics (heavily inked pages of which Vieira slips in between chapters), Perry intrepidly sets off on a pursuit that takes him from the mansion of a scheming dowager to the island's closed and decrepit Furassic Park on the way to a distinctly King Kong-ish climax (gentlehearted readers, don't fear the bunny isn't harmed). Readers will laugh, but also applaud, as Perry's stratagems generally turn out to be (perhaps appropriately) harebrained, but he comes through in the hutch, er, clutch once again.--John Peters Copyright 2019 Booklist
