Review by Library Journal Review

A college student (Anamaria Marinca) goes to great lengths to help her desperate roommate (Laura Vasiliu) get an illegal abortion in Cristian Mungiu's (Beyond the Hills; Graduation) humanizing story about a dilemma usually framed in political terms. Quiet camerawork, extended takes, and deliberate pacing favor realism over melodrama in this Cannes Film Festival Palme d'Or winner. Given an HD upgrade bettering its first disc release, this edition includes interviews with the director and cinematographer, plus a doc on its unusual home-country distribution.
