The front runner

DVD - 2019

This is the true story of Gary Hart, the former Colorado senator who quickly rose to the top of the pack as the number one contender for the 1987 Democratic presidential primary. Due to his charisma and drive, Hart connects well with the younger constituents, and both himself and his aides see this a clear and present path to victory. But allegations soon emerge of an extramarital affair, and Hart is forced to deal with the impact that these new allegations have not just on his campaign but on every aspect of his reputation and his personal life.
