Review by Booklist Review
*Starred Review* Like its namesake magazine, this compilation is packed full of ideas, in its colorful room-setting photographs; in the bright ideas bubbles that float through its pages; in 80-plus new and familiar recipes; and in dozens of DIY projects (some explained in detail, others encompassed in short blurbs). The holidays are, of course, the prime season for publications to display their creative wares. Regardless of whether this represents a recycling of past Country Living issues, even those readers who are cramped for time will find at least one holiday how-to to easily adopt. It could be as simple as swapping metallic ornaments for apples and bananas in a fruit bowl or upcycling part of an old sweater into a throw cushion. Among the standout, more time-intensive offerings are a patchwork tree skirt, moldable foam stamps, and an upholstered pouf. For lookie-loos as well as those handypersons who excel in decorating, gifting, and baking for the holidays.--Barbara Jacobs Copyright 2018 Booklist
