Successful painter Emma Davis returns to Camp Nightingale where she spent two weeks as a camper when she was 13. During that time, Emma's three bunkmates left the cabin one night and never returned-their bodies were never found. Fifteen years later, Emma is still haunted by the events, and when she is recruited by the camp's owner to return as painting counselor, she decides to see what she can learn. The plot gets more complex, exciting, and mysterious as Emma attempts to uncover the camp's nefarious secret and find out what happened to her friends. Nicol Zanzarella does an excellent job of narrating. Her subtle voice changes capture Emma's fragile emotional state and the camp owner's sweetly deceptive tone. VERDICT Recommended for all mystery and thriller fans.
