No visit to New Maze City is complete without seeing the World Famous Empire Maze Tower, where a boy detective named Pierre is heading on a luxe ocean liner along with a clutch of famous detectives and a dog named Mazey (keep your eye on him!). They're all in hot pursuit of the mysterious Mr. X. Your challenge, reader, is to find the villain in each of the double-page spreads that grace this lavishly oversize volume. Each spread contains an elaborate maze you must follow and hidden items you must find. The pesky villain has also left challenges to make your progress from spread to spread even more difficult. Sprinkled throughout are puzzle pages with smaller mazes and additional challenges readers must solve before they can proceed to the next spread. The illustrations for this visual feast are spectacular in their design, detail, and execution. Together, they put Where's Waldo?, which they vaguely evoke, in the shade.
