Guild, founder of the firm Designers Guild and author of numerous books on design and color (e.g., Tricia Guild on Color, Think Color: Rooms To Live In), presents 45 color palettes showcasing paints and fabrics from her line. More than 200 color photographs show rooms each styled to represent a palette and its theme. Although these color combinations are prescriptive, Guild advises how to add texture and pattern in order to vary the palettes to suit one's own taste and describes how to use mood boards for color inspiration. VERDICT Although primarily a catalog to showcase Guild's products, there is still a wealth of ideas on how to employ color in the home. © Copyright 2018.
