PreS-Gr 2-Buzz and Fly Guy are back. This time, Buzz is making a space-themed movie starring Buzz Boy and Fly Guy: the Secret Hero team. Aliens have come to Earth and beamed the heroes onto their spaceship. Buzz Boy is tied up, but Fly Guy escapes to get help. Enter Dragon Dude and Fly Girl. High jinks ensue and space pirates appear to steal the aliens' ship. With no ship, the aliens join the Secret Hero team and everyone lives happily ever after-well, almost everyone. Buzz must now make a movie sequel, since Fly Guy points out that Buzz left himself tied up on the ship stolen by pirates. Some of the illustrations show BuzzBoy and Fly Guy as stick puppets that Buzz made for the movie, and instead of chapter headings, the book is divided into scenes. VERDICT Fans of the series won't be disappointed in this easy-to-read intergalactic adventure. More, please.-Kelly Roth, Bartow County Public Library, Cartersville, GA © Copyright 2018. With help from his pet, Fly Guy, Buzz makes a movie about a space-alien attack unleashed on the "Secret Hero Fort." In easy-to-read text, the silly movie-within-the-story meanders in an authentically childlike way, and Arnold's cartoony illustrations cleverly zoom in on the action and back out to show a smartphone filming homemade paper dolls and other toys on Buzz's desk. Lots of fun (or, as Fly Guy says, "FUNZZIE") for new readers. (c) Copyright 2019. The Horn Book, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc. No redistribution permitted.
