K-Gr 2-Whyatt (aka Super Why) and his team of Super Friends-Red Riding Hood, Alpha Pig, and Princess Pea-star in this interactive series that invites viewers to go on a reading adventure. Incorporating reading and spelling and introducing a selection of related vocabulary words, this program calls for all "Super Readers" to use their "reading power" and help Super Why and his team conquer an everyday challenge. The two-DVD set includes fairy-tale favorites, such as "Humpty Dumpty," "Cinderella," "Pinocchio," and "Jack and the Beanstalk." Viewers learn lessons about healthy eating, acceptance and fitting in, and the soothing power of music. This engaging series encourages creative thinking with each fun-filled storybook adventure, and it is an exceptional tool to motivate children to read and spell along with the characters, thereby increasing vocabulary and comprehension.
