Review by Booklist Review

Swedish food stylist and blogger Lomelino presents this mouthwatering dessert cookbook with a twist. The book features nearly 50 seasonally inspired, over-the-top cakes, cupcakes, pies, and more as well as informative sections on food styling and photography. Readers will learn how to make crowd-pleasers like Rhubarb Summer Cake, Malted Milk Brownies, and Caramel Macadamia Tart that are as beautiful as they are tasty. Lomelino's book offers a nice range of simple treats (such as Skillet-Baked Chocolate Chip Cookies) and quite a few more-complex desserts (like Crepe Cake with Orange, Chocolate, and Cointreau). There is also a short cake-decorating tutorial as well as a generous listing of cake and cupcake embellishments. Food bloggers, especially, will get much from this slim, lushly photographed book. But it's a good choice for serious bakers, too.--Lalley, Heather Copyright 2017 Booklist
