Review by Library Journal Review

Many of us know a little bit of origami-generally from folding notes in middle school or making cootie-catchers on the playground. The designs in this collection build on these traditions, demonstrating the possibilities of folded paper for letters, tags, and decor. Artist Mizutama's projects use both square and rectangular paper sheets, and the finished pieces are as much about the colorful paper and the embellishment as they are about the folding. The designs are basic, using simple folds, but they surprise and delight just as much as a more complex fold. VERDICT It's rare to find a craft book that appeals to children, teens, and adults, but these fun, kawaii-style projects are ideal for crafters of all ages with an interest in cute, quirky paper crafting. © Copyright 2017.
