Review by Library Journal Review

Gandhi spent two years with his grand-father as a teenager, learning to control his anger. He narrates stories from his own experiences with the famous Mahatma and of those who came in contact with his grandfather. These are insightful versions of stories about Gandhi that listeners may have heard, but not from the viewpoint of someone who lived with the iconic leader. In echoes of the lessons taught to the author, listeners must learn the value of patience, because each word is read deliberately by Gandhi. However, there is much to be gained from slowing down to hear others-one of the lessons described. -VERDICT Recommended for large public libraries and university collections with a focus on social justice and peace.-Karen Perry, Old Dominion Univ., Norfolk, VA © Copyright 2017.
