Review by Library Journal Review

Blogger Denbow introduces the fundamentals of weaving on a simple frame loom in this collection of beginner-level projects. She begins with a simple wall hanging woven on a cardboard loom, then progresses to pieces incorporating simple tapestry techniques and rya knotwork. Color and texture play an important role in these pieces, which have a distinctly handmade look. Designs for three DIY frame looms are included. VERDICT Denbow's projects are a millennial take on a 1970s aesthetic-think faux-Native American pastiche with a side of fringe and feathers. If wall hangings went to Coachella, this is what they'd look like, and if any of this makes you cringe, this isn't the weaving guide for you. © Copyright 2016.
