In his first book, illustrator and photographer McVeigh adds to the LEGO-building tutorials shared on his website, offering free instructions for constructing a variety of objects using LEGO bricks. This collection concentrates on small pieces that could be used as Christmas ornaments or decor, ranging from traditional fare such as presents and snowflakes to clever-but-not-Christmassy everyday objects such as a computer, an arcade game, and a camera. LEGO aficionados will recognize the building diagrams as similar to those included with LEGO sets, and each project includes an illustration outlining the number of pieces required and step-by-step pictorial instructions. The results are surprisingly intricate and realistic. VERDICT LEGO building is popular with all ages, and this collection provides numerous options for creative fun. © Copyright 2016.
