Review by Booklist Review

This entry in the National Geographic Kids Mission Animal Rescue series is packed with gorgeous photographs of the seven different species of sea turtles, as well as just about everything one could possibly want to know about the marine reptile. At first glance, the splashy, colorful pages might seem confusing, but the color-coded features help make sens of the panoply of information; for example, the main text is printed on a pale, green-and-white pattern, while colors and shapes identify other pieces of information. The Meet a Sea Turtle feature is an orange circle, and Animal Rescue items are in blue boxes. There are descriptions of programs around the globe, such as one where young people are involved in helping sea turtles; interviews with scientists; Expert Tips related to issues in each chapter; and several two-page spreads of accessible activities to promote sea-turtle rescue and even raise funds. Two pages of resources, including a list of places to find sea turtles around the world, and a useful index are the finishing touches.--Scanlon, Donna Copyright 2016 Booklist
