Review by Library Journal Review

Morford's (Best Lunch Box Ever) cookbook is designed to give readers breakfast options that are quick yet nutritious. Because most of the recipes are easy to make, this book is a great way to get kids cooking healthy meals in the kitchen. (The chapter on smoothies is of special interest.) A registered dietician, the author provides ideas on nutritious swaps for ingredients as well as every day dietary tips. One particularly useful list of suggestions involves ten add-ins to cold cereal. Each chapter includes beautiful photos as well as a brief introduction to the kinds of recipes featured in each section. The last segment introduces favorite dishes that Morford enjoys making with her family, including blackberry orange puffy pancakes, grapefruit brûlée, and roasted root hash with poached eggs. VERDICT A solid addition to collections that provide healthy, time-saving meal options. Recommended for fans of Ellie Krieger (Weeknight Wonders).-Holly Skir, York Coll., CUNY © Copyright 2016.
