Review by Booklist Review

In this third Yeti Files caper, yeti Blizz Richards and his motley crew of cryptid sidekicks answer a call for help from the mayor of Atlantis. It seems that the mayor's pet project (to expand the mining of crystals that power and protect the suboceanic city's magic) is being threatened by a huge kraken. Blizz and his buddies quickly discover, though, that the tentacled kraken's motives are more complicated than they're cracked up to be. Predominantly told in ink-and-wash cartoons with quick bits of narrative and snarky repartee interspersed, the episode is festooned with a crowd-pleasing array of mythical creatures, toothy squid of diverse size, and hungry sharks.--Peters, John Copyright 2016 Booklist

Blizz the yeti and his cryptid pals are called on by merfolk to help save the underwater city of Atlantis from its mayor, who is over-mining the sea's powerful crystals that keep the city running. Absurdity abounds on every busily illustrated page of the adventure, which includes a subtle message about taking care of the environment. (c) Copyright 2017.
